A Vietnamese man tries to attack an American with a BRICK then slaps his girlfriend in a shocking road rage clip.
Maxwell David Gulian, 27, had been riding a scooter with girlfriend Thi Huong Giang, 25, when a driver ran over his foot in Hanoi, Vietnam.
He asked the driver to move his car as it was still trapping his sandal but he is then alleged to have launched a furious attack.
The driver, Nguyen Duy Khanh, 26, was seen throwing punches at Maxwell before grabbing a hexagonal concrete brick then hitting the Amercian’s girlfriend.
The driver’s friend Doan Van Cuong, 29, then joins in on the attack – before the driver smashes Maxwell in the face with a helmet.
Maxwell was left shaken with blood pouring down his face after the attack in the Hai Ba Trung district on June 27. He was taken to hospital and treated for the injuries.
Officers arrested the two alleged attackers and charged them with ”intentional infliction of injuries resulting from a traffic collision’’.
Binh Hoang who filmed the attack said it was ”scary”.
She said: ”The woman was trying to stop any fight, to stop anybody being hurt and to find the peace.
”She pushed away her boyfriend and tried to calm the other men. But when the hit her that was scary. It got worse and the American man ran back. It was lucky the police came in one minute to stop things.”
Police leaders at the Hai Ba Trung District station said that the two men would be ”dealt with severely in accordance with law’’.
Lieutenant Huy Ngo said: ‘’The victim was taken to hospital and assessed. His face was injured around the eyes and nose.
‘’The two suspects were detained and they are being punished by the legal system.’’
