A Brazilian drugs mule was arrested after swallowing 100 tubes of COCAINE.
Paulo Henrique Pires Do Nascimento, 26, boarded a flight from Ethiopia to Thailand on September 6.
Vice cops received a tip-off that he was carrying class-A drugs and arrested him as he collected his luggage at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.
There was no cocaine in Paulo’s suitcases but officers were stunned after x-rays showed his stomach stuffed with dozens of 7cm-long pellets of white powder.
Paulo confessed to smuggling the cocaine and police set up a sting operation to catch others involved in the drugs ring. They let him travel on to his hotel and waited for accomplices to arrive where a handover was planned.
Paulo’s alleged accomplice Elsonias Coleta Da Silva, 35, also from Brazil, arrived and handed the constipated crook a carton of MILK to help him take out the cocaine he had swallowed. The alleged accomplice then left Paulo alone to retrive the goods from his stomach.
After several painful hours on the toilet, officers confiscated the drugs. Police later arrested Coleta Da Silva after he turned up at the room again for a planned drugs handover. He denied any involvement in the crime.
Thailand’s Narcotics Suppression Bureau said there were 100 cylindrical packets of the drug weighing 1.3kg in total.
The street value is around 6.5million Thai baht, the equivalent of around 150,000 British pound sterling.
Narcotis Suppression Bureau Commander Sommai Kongwisaisuk said: ”An x-ray showed 100 capsules of the drug inside the Brazilian passenger on flight ET618 with Ethiopian Airlines.
”The weight of the drugs was 1.3kg. They were identified after tests as being cocaine.
”Mr Nascimento admitted swallowing the drug and attempting to smuggle it into the country.
”He co-operated with police and a second man Elsonias Coleta Da Silva was later arrested.”
