Here’s a selection of pictures of some down and outs who were sitting by the Mekong River in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
They didn’t mind me taking pictures, though the old woman was a bit shy and tried at first to hide.
She was making some half-hearted whines about not having any food. I thought about giving them a dollar but decided against it.
The young girl was beautiful and didn’t seem to have been ravaged – yet – by the effects of poverty and drugs. Only a matter of time, I assume. Unless of course somebody helps her up onto the ladder.
Will they still be kicking around the next time I’m there? Honestly, the faces of the Ice addicts hanging around there seem to change every time I visit, so I honestly don’t know.
Enjoy the pictures…
