This is the terrifying moment a drug-crazed trucker high after a three-day meth binge smashes through 30 cars while being chased by police.
Police spotted driver Ekkapoj Yodsiri, 27, driving erratically on Wednesday afternoon in Bangkok, Thailand, and started following him.
But he sped away and was chased across the city for almost 30 minutes before hitting a line of waiting cars in the Ekkamai district on busy tourist spot Sukhumvit Road.
Footage shows the driver – high after taking meth or ‘ice’ for 72 hours – swerve across the road as he ploughs through dozens of cars and injuring 18 people.
Terrified drivers jump of their vehicles and dive for cover as he approaches before he finally comes to a stop and slumps over the driving wheel.
Wai Jirapat, who was in his car at the time, said: ”I thought I was going to die. The truck came speeding down and it wasn’t stopping.
”When it got up close it was so big and powerful. It knocked my car to the side like it was a little toy.
”The driver was mad, you could see in his face he was clearly out of his mind.”
Police said they had charged Yodsiri with reckless driving and drug possession.
Lt. Col. Wasu Chueput of Thonglor Police Station said they found a gram of meth in the truck and that driver had confessed to being high for three days.
