Man, 18, Killed Himself After Girlfriend, 13, Wouldn’t Let Him Play Candy Crush On Her Phone

A man hanged himself after his thirteen-year-old girlfriend refused to let him play games on her iPhone.

Wannapong Mabai, 18, had been with teenager Saen Tharathiwas in his bedroom on Sunday afternoon.

But they started arguing after he asked to use her phone to play the popular ‘Candy Crush’ game on the Facebook app.

The girl refused to let him use her handset and he threatened to kill himself as she stormed off.

Wannapong’s mother found him dead lying in his bed four hours later after he strangled himself with an electrical cord in Chonburi, Thailand.

Deputy Inspector Wiwat Sinn said: ‘’We were notified by Chonburi Rescue and arrived at the room to find Mr Mabai lying on the bed.

‘’The deceased was wearing a blue and white shirt and red shorts.

‘’There was a black electrical cord around his neck.

‘’His girlfriend recalled that they fought at about 1pm. The subject of the argument was that he wanted to borrow her mobile phone to play games on Facebook.

‘’He said he will kill himself but she did not think this was true and went home at 1.30pm.

‘’Police are waiting for autopsy results from Chonburi hospital to confirm the cause of death.’’
