This is the chilling moment a player tries to stop a fight that broke out at a snooker hall and is battered to death with a CUE.
Kanok Wichiansin, 25, stepped in to help when his friend started arguing with another group just after midnight last Friday in Chantaburi, Thailand.
But policeman’s son Chayut Phuphuak, 36, knocks him unconscious
– then returns moments later and repeatedly hits him with the wooden snooker cue.
The sickening footage emerged when Kanook’s devastated grandmother Sunantha Saehongwon published it online yesterday after complaining that she had not heard anything back from the police.
Sunantha said: ‘’The attack happened on March 18 at 00.29.
‘’The first time my grandson was hit he blacked out, the man then comes back a second time to intend to beat him to death.
‘’My grandson loved his friends and didn’t want to have the altercation with anybody. If you watch the CCTV, he didn’t do anything to touch anybody, he just wanted to stop it.
‘’But he has died because of the cruelty of other people.
‘’We went to the police the morning he died. The suspect’s father acknowledged it and we were promised that his son would be punished.
”But we contacted them again but didn’t hear anything back, despite the police knowing the name of the person and where he lives. The police said they were not notified.
‘’I just want justice for my grandson, good people should not die because of other people’s quarrels.”
Police said the alleged attacker had handed himself in and been charged with murder while officer’s investigate CCTV and take witness statements.
