Thai femme-fatale Mor Nim has been sentenced to death for plotting to kill her Olympian husband.
Dr. Nitiwadee Pucharoenyos – also known as Mor Nim – hired a hit man to kill husband Jakkrit Panichpatikum, a national sharpshooter, in 2013 after a history of domestic abuse.
Jakkrit was shot repeatedly in his sports car at a Bangkok intersection.
Judges handed down death sentences to Mor, 40, and accomplice Santi Thongsem, 30, a lawyer friend. The hitman and driver were jailed for life.
Mor has been released on bail with a one million THB bond.
Mor’s mother Surang Duangjinda, 74, claimed Jakkrit had abused her abused her daughter and caused the miscarriage of the couple’s third child. She claims that Jakkrit had threatened her with a gun.
The case has been sent to appeal.
