This is the embarrasing moment six naked tourists were arrested after being caught skinny dipping on a Thai beach.
The five women and one man were seen by shocked locals having stripped off on the sand in Krabi, southern Thailand, on Monday July 15 night.
The group – from Britain, Australia, Spain, and Japan – then waded into the shallows and splashed around in the nude.
They were playing for around ten minutes until they were seen by an outraged resident who called over the duty police patrolling the area.
Several officers then stormed onto the beach and frogmarched the group back to their pile of clothes on the Ao Nang beach, in the popular tourist destination.
Footage shows the women walking back hunched over while covering their breasts. The disappointed male in the group is seen with a dark towel around his waist.
The tourists – all aged between 17 and 20 – were told to dress up before being taken to the station, where they were charged with public indecency and fined 500 baht (13GBP).
There were eight in the group, who had all been staying together in a bamboo hut style hostel, but only six of them stripped off to go paddling.
They complained that they went skinny dipping because the bars had closed early to mark the national Buddhist Lent celebrations and they had nothing else to do.
A police spokesperson said: ”The group of foreign tourists willingly admitted their inappropriate behaviour, saying that they were drunk and had nothing to do after all the bars were closed.”
Bars across Thailand closed early on Monday night to mark the start of Buddhist Lent. Whereas the clubs in the popular tourist area would stay open until 2am or 3am, they closed before midnight.
The police spokesman, who did not name the holidaymakers, added: ”Each of the tourists were fined for 500 Baht (13 GBP) and they apologised. We ensured that they would not repeat such behaviour again in the future.”
