A Thai pop singer was left red-faced after a Marilyn Monroe style wardrobe malfunction gave the audience a full-frontal view of her vagina.
Jinny Jaa, 25, was performing at a festival on May 15 in Prachinburi when her pink frilly mini dress rode up – apparently revealing she was not wearing any knickers.
The singer continued her act – unaware that the audience could see what appears to be her crotch and a thin line of ‘landing strip’ style pubic hair.
Footage of the embarrassing incident emerged a few days later sparking anger from Jinny, who denied going commando on stage and claimed it was caused by ”the lighting”.
Mother-of-one Jinny said: ”There are lots of respectable figures next to the stage so if something was wrong they would definitely have said something.
”This was caused by the lighting and unfortunately it has given people the the wrong idea.”
Jinny took pictures of the pink sleeveless high waist dress to try and explain the incident, claiming there are hidden ”inner pants” inside the garment.
She added: ”There has been a lot of criticism from people saying I didn’t wear underwear. But the skirt has inner pants. I want to find the person who made the video and make them apologise.”
A reveller who attended the show said the skit blunder had made the evening more entertaining.
They added: ”I thought the singer would notice her private parts were visible. I was surprised that nobody told her. It went on for a few minutes.
”I was sure at the time of what I was seeing, and when people see the video they all agree.”
Photographer Sam Shaw captured the iconic ‘flying skirt’ image of his friend Marilyn Monroe in New York in 1954 when the actress stepped over a subway grating as a draft blew up.
