The ‘world’s worst bus driver’ has been banned after shocking dash cam footage showed him swerving across a busy road.
Thienchai Sukkhanok was filmed driving the orange coach erratically yesterday morning in Bangkok, Thailand.
Dash cam video from Sarayuth Yuth Aremeen who was driving behind the bus shows it veer dangerously to the left and back again.
The bus – packed full of passengers in morning rush hour – narrowly avoids hitting fellow road users who try desperately to get out of the way.
Sarayuth posted the clip online and it went viral – prompting transport chiefs to track down the driver.
Sarayuth wrote: ”Do you love your life and want to get to spend your bonus? If you do avoid Route 71. The driver was using one hand and the other was holding a phone. I see it every day.”
The clip stunned viewers with many branding him the ‘world’s worst bus driver’.
Nittaporn Rachatawet said: ”He’s driving like a snake. He’s the worst driver in the world.”
Jolene Juntree added: ”If I was a passenger on that bus I’d be very, very scare. He needs to take his lessons again.”
Transport Department boss Sukree Jarupoom investigated the clip and summoned the driver Mr Sukkhanok.
Mr Sukkhanok admitted driving recklessly but claimed his wing mirror had been knocked off by another coach driver and he was trying to catch up with him.
But he was fined 3,000THB (67GBP), banned from driving buses for 30 days and ordered to attend a three-hour long workshop.
